Hi! My name is Heather and I am fundraising for my friend Val! She is a rising junior at Lehman College in the Bronx, where she has completed the Career Ready Freshman Initiative from Lehman College/ CUNY and has made the Dean's List in the Spring and Fall of 2020. I am seeking support for her education.

As part of the Lehman College Recovery Corps, Val is a volunteer intern with a Bronx environmental nonprofit. Every day she inspires me with her kindness, drive, and work ethic.

After paying her college tuition, Val and her family have struggled to purchase books and other supplies she may need. She is currently sharing a desktop computer with four other members of her household. As a journalism major with a writing internship on the horizon, we would like to use some of the funds to buy her a laptop.
