Valley Patriot publisher Tom Duggan and the 1st Amendment is under attack yet again.

The paper and publisher are being sued by the Mayor of Methuen who is trying to shut down the Valley Patriot Newspaper by filing an expensive Defamation Lawsuit.
As a small monthly paper, The Valley Patriot has no funds to fight an expensive 1st Amendment Lawsuit as the Mayor has hired the powerhouse law firm of Mintz/Levin in Boston to try and have him shut down.
Because Massachusetts state law will not allow Duggan to represent himself, he must hire an attorney which requires funds he doesn’t have.
Without your must appreciated help the Valley Patriot newspaper will lose this lawsuit by default, and close its doors forever.
We need to raise $10,000 or more in order to pay ongoing legal fees as the lawsuit progresses.
Tom Duggan isn’t just the publisher of The Valley Patriot, but also raises money for so many local causes and charities in the community. Just last week Duggan held a charity BASH where he raised over $10,000 for scholarships for local high school students and gave awards to hero cops, veterans, and firefighters.
Tom has spent his life giving to the community and has never asked for anything in return.
All he wants is to keep publishing The Valley Patriot so he can continue to expose corruption in our government and provide real local news to the Merrimack Valley.

NOW, I THINK IT’S TIME WE ALL PITCHED IN AND HELPED TOM FIGHT THE CORRUPT POLITICAL HACKS IN MASSACHUSETTS BY KICKING IN FOR HIS LEGAL DEFENSE!
I stood and watched Tom Duggan give away tens of thousands of dollars to deserving people in the community over the years.
It would be a shame if his newspaper folded because we didn’t pitch in and give a little back!
