Valley Grace Update
Look what God is doing.
The doctor came in and said that these results were one of the biggest outliers he has ever seen in his life. He said that he has seen great responses to chemo before, but never has he seen one like this. Both of the tumors were the size of the entire kidney. However, the left kidney tumor is completely gone and the tumor on the right kidney is very very small. He said that he would expect this kind of difference after months of treatments, not after six weeks. He is hoping that another six weeks of treatments will show similar results and we can completely bypass surgery and be on the way to cancer free!
Cancer like this is only seen 10 times in America per year… this response is unbelievable. But, God….
Here are before and after photos of Wilms tumors after 6 weeks of chemo, lots of praying, and an absolute miracle we have one whole kidney cancer free & the other kidney has such a small amount of cancer left that after another round of chemo for 6 more weeks at MUSC she will most likely need surgery at all
Tonight, we are crying tears of joy & thankfulness for a God who still does miracles and for family & friends who prays alongside of us. We love you & God hears you Thank you ♥️

Valley Grace is the fiercest little 15-month-old. She may be small, but she is mighty! She was born with Trisomy 18. The average lifespan for infants is three days to 2 weeks. Only 5%-10% live to be a year old. She is a MIRACLE! She has already undergone heart surgery and many other procedures to stay alive.
Unfortunately, four weeks ago, doctors discovered she had a tumor in not one but both of her kidneys. She was diagnosed with Wilms' tumor, a rare kidney cancer.
Doctors recommend intense Chemotherapy treatments for six weeks. If chemo is no longer working and the tumors have stopped shrinking, Valley will have to go to Memphis, TN, for a kidney-sparing surgery in hopes of preserving her kidney function. If Chemo is working to shrink the tumors, Valley will continue chemo in hopes of ridding her body of cancer. Comprehensive treatment will be around 6-8 months, primarily (prayerfully) outpatient.
Valley is in week 4 of chemo. However, they have already admitted Valley 2X for two weeks (on separate occasions) for infections and three blood transfusions.
Valley's chemo requires many trips to the hospital each week which has caused an enormous impact on her family in many ways. Particularly limiting the ability for both parents to work. As a result, the family is now down to one income instead of two. The parents also have to provide additional care for their two-year-old son as one works and the other travels to the hospital for Valley's treatments.

Her mother and father wanted to share about Valley's little personality and express their thanks:
"Thank you to all the prayer warriors out there; David and I have felt Peace about all of this. I know that’s not natural at all because I have personally witnessed more than once in my own family the devastating side effects of doing chemo and having Cancer. It’s a traumatic word that stings me, and I know many of you."
"She is a wild girl. She refuses to be boring. But, honestly, what’s the fun in that? She is close to Jesus; when you hold her, you just know. She is stronger than me. She doesn’t flinch when they put an IV in, and she always smiles, even amid what I consider pain. It’s inspiring."
"Top ten things that @Cleerleystated has said that have resonated with me thru this:"
1. Joy and sorrow coexist everyday together.
2. God will bring meaning of everything.
3. God knows what your ready for before you do.
4. The promises of God are a firm foundation.
5. His plan exceeds every prayer in your heart.
6. Tomorrow is God’s Business, you are not in control. You are free and protected.
7. Angels don’t take breaks. You’re covered.
8. God can handle all of your questions.
9. I am right where I need to be. God is never behind or ahead of schedule. He knows my needs and desires and only gives me His Best.
10. Hindsight proves that when you’ve wanted to hang your head in the past, hope was worth holding onto. Let the character of the provider be the source of your confidence.
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. “ -1 Peter 5:10
