My family and I manage two feral cat colonies, with a combined 50+ cat population. We started feeding and watering the cats a couple years ago, when covid first hit. A couple months later the colony experienced a huge population boom. We realized no one else was taking care of these cats, and tried desperately to find someone to trap and fix the cats. I ended up learning how to trap myself, and the journey began! We began trapping and treating the cats in early spring 2021, and have not stopped since! We work with local rescues and orgs to find homes for some of the cats, and continue to care for the fully feral cats who belong in the wild. Our largest expense is food, with vet bills being a close second. The costs really add up.
I am asking friends, family, and fellow animal lovers to donate a few bucks to help us take care of these cats. Some of them also need medical attention in addition to being fed, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Please share this with your people! Thank you very much for taking the time to read this : )
