Hey everyone, I've held off asking for help because everyone I know seems to be really struggling right now. But even though I accepted a job offer and will start working soon, we're still homeless, on the hook for a month of rent in Chicago that we weren't there for, bills/car insurance/storage/cell service/etc, and other basic living expenses. I also need to pay for gas for this delivery job, which doesn't get compensated for until the first paycheck.
Basically we need help getting through the next month. If we can do that, we'll be okay.
Like many people I have a hard time asking for help, but in 2021 I guess that's something I need to learn how to do, especially now that I have someone else in my life whose survival is linked to mine.
