Valis Sound Studio Initiative

Growing up in a community rich with inspiration Nelson Bell was a local up and coming musician about to release his first album at the age of sixteen. His lyrics were fuelled with raw emotion, lived experience and a sense of relatability which was unparalleled. Sadly, due to a recent tragedy he will no longer be able to continue on his passionate path to success, sharing his talents with the world. As a collective of like minded peers, supporters and family members we are endeavouring to carry on the Valis Sound vision by establishing a memorial music studio in collaboration with the Orillia Youth Centre, where Nelson was an active member. With your help we will be able to afford youth in Orillia and the surrounding area the opportunity to hone in on their potential through the art of music; providing the space, professional equipment and mentorship that are quintessential to success.

We invite you to become a part of Nelson’s legacy project, Valis Sound studio, an initiative which will allow his beautiful soul to live on through the talented youth of Orillia. Our goal of raising $50,000 will allow us to create a safe, professional space for youth to hone in on their remarkable talents while providing a tribute to a local musician taken from us far too soon.  All contributions, regardless of size will be of great benefit to the project, with all funds, gift certificates and in-kind donations collected being cherished and utilized to make this vision a reality.

If you have any questions or other suggestions on how support can be offered please do not hesitate to contact, Champagne Thomson via [email redacted] or by phone at (705) 327 - 8806.

Community development is an organic process which we encourage you participate in to not only show strength during this time of great loss but also to provide a space for wonderfully creative opportunities within our next generation.

We also encourage you to check out our social media accounts @Valis705Forever for more information about events associated with the campaign as well as what items could be contributed in-kind.
