Valerie has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast cancer. Please donate to our campaign to pay for treatments that could save Valerie's life.
In June 2016 we received our Foster Care License and a few days later we were called to take home a 2 day old baby. We did and she today is our adopted Daughter. When the baby was 5 months old I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We fell in love with this little girl and through several miraculous events we were allowed to adopt her when she was 14 months old.
I had gone through Low Dose chemo therapy and we thought we had beat the cancer. In December 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer when some tumors developed in my liver. I am beginning to undergo further conventional chemo therapy, but at Stage 4 we have to pursue integrative approaches, which are not covered by insurance, to treat the cancer along with the conventional treatments.
You can see the great need we have. Our daughter needs to have me around to be her mom. I also have home schooled both our boys who are 18 and 22 right now and want to give her the same education. The uncovered expenses will cost about $35,000 this year alone. Currently we are drawing on the equity of our home, but do not have enough equity to cover even this years expenses.
