Valerie's Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer Fight & Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Our family was blindsided by my sister Valerie’s Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer diagnosis this past July. Her BRCA1 positive result shed light on the diagnosis, being she enjoyed a healthy life without having any symptoms. The diagnosis removed Valerie from her career in corporate events, leaving her husband Kevin working tirelessly as the sole provider taking care of their family in the best way possible.
Valerie’s first surgery was robotic followed by a second that were both unsuccessful removing the tumor from her ovary. A port was placed inside her body for the next battle fighting for her life receiving intensive chemotherapy for 6 months with it’s challenging side effects. Every day Valerie maintained her vivacious spirit, continued smiling and staying positive believing she would still achieve all her dreams.
Her surgeon at Jupiter Medical Center prepared her for the most important fourth and largest open surgery. The results are a miracle for all of us as we embrace the next couple months of healing. During this time she’ll be advised on a double mastectomy in hopes of minimizing future cancer risk due to the BRCA1 genetic mutation.
We greatly appreciate your support of any amount, in any size. Contributions will help cover surgical procedures, hospital stays, medical expenses, treatments, medications, lost income and ensure her home continues to be a place of healing. Feel free to share this page. Your prayers and support mean everything, thank you!
