My name is Valerie Lowder and I am currently a junior at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago focusing on painting and drawing. I have been lucky enough to be accepted to study abroad at Beaux Arts de Paris this upcoming spring semester, from January through the end of June. I have money saved to cover rent for the upcoming stay, but would like some help fundraising an additional $5,000 for expenses such as groceries/meals, public transport, school and art supplies, and other living costs during my semester abroad. Additionally, I would love to take dance classes and visit the many art museums Paris has to offer. This will cover the amount I would make if I was working during the semester. It is not likely I will find a job in Paris because of the language barrier and brevity of my stay. All proceeds will help make my trip as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Merci!
