Valerie’s new heart!

Donation protected
What Is a LVAD? A left ventricular assist device (LVAD) is a pump that we use for patients who have reached end-stage heart failure. We surgically implant the LVAD, a battery-operated, mechanical pump, which then helps the left ventricle (main pumping chamber of the heart) pump blood to the rest of the body.

Sounds like a lot right!?

That is where I am at with my heart health. I have a long road ahead of me and hopefully can get on the heart transplant list eventually and not have to worry over my heart health anymore!

I say all of this because with this comes a long road of appts, hospital stays and so on. I’m not one that usually asks for help for myself. But with this I’m left with no choice but to humbly ask for help.

In order to get signed off for and come home after the surgery there is a checklist of things we have to complete. As you guessed, they all cost significant dollars that we just don’t have right now.
A list of the things we know we need at the moment is updated electrical work. This is because the device I will be on is required to be plugged up each night. We can’t have outdated plugs or electric panels as not to sound dramatic I have to trust it to literally keep me alive.
Once those things are done I will also need a twin sized bed as I will be moving into the spare room on the main level of the home.
Additionally I would like to have a television in that room too. A lamp, heating pad, recliner, ice packs and more. I’m gonna be stuck in that room for awhile at the beginning so all the entertainment the better!!
More random mixes of things I will need are different clothing to accommodate the wiring, a bag to carry the equipment, a tablet would be nice too.
Long story short. I. Need. Help.
If you would feel comfortable donating funds to help offset this we would be forever grateful!
