Hello, this is Jessica Lea Mayfield and I am making this fundraiser on behalf of my mother Valerie Fay Mayfield. here’s a message from her: “You know how I feel proud of my legacy and thankful to all my fans and friends and the love of my family.. they told me that I have aggressive carcinoma started in my ovaries and it has spread to my liver gallbladder and my whole stomach and bowels kidney etc . and it’s too late to operate I am afraid but understand that I suffered quite a lot through my life but I still had an amazing husband and children and grandson and my doggies.. “ Valerie has had many adventures and travels and has been a performer and people person her entire life, she has never met a stranger and in spite of being dealt one rough hand after the other is one of the brightest lights and is the most optimistic and strongest woman I have ever met. right now our family and most importantly our father and her best friend David Lee Mayfield are facing a lot of unknown challenges that no one could truly be prepared for. We spent most of my childhood playing for tips on the streets of Nashville, bars, and living on a big blue bus that had a rich history of its own performing bluegrass festivals with our family band. my dad has also worked a few CNC machine shops so due to that my parents are currently living off of a very humble social security check with basic Medicare. We are asking for help with out of pocket medical expenses and bills and know that Valerie is loved by many. The Mayfield Family thanks you.
