Dear friends and family,
We all were so happy when my beloved wife Valerie and I met, and fell in love, and got married. And now, terminal cancer is taking her away from me. Valerie just entered Hospice. Her funeral is imminent. I’m humbly reaching out for sorely-needed help to provide funeral arrangements.
Valerie is a beautiful soul, known for her ongoing volunteerism in Northampton and at Smith College. She has given us award-winning poetry, including a nomination for The Pushcart Prize, Smith College’s Elizabeth Babcock Poetry Prize, and entry in The New England Anthology of Poetry, selected by Gwendlyn Brooks. Her love of nature and the built environment has impelled her many projects as a member of the mayor’s Northampton Historical Commission.
She will be so very missed. Please accept my full-hearted gratitude.
