Have you ever wondered what you would do, if God forbid you were diagnosed with Cancer? Most people haven't.... Valerie, who is a dear friend, sister, daughter, and single mother of 2 teenagers, has had the worst news possible. She discovered a lump on her breast and knew something was wrong. Within 2 days, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3 breast cancer on June 22. The doctors immediately put together a plan for her, which included vigorous chemo treatments, surgery to remove anything that still may be lingering, and then 4-6 weeks of radiation. The treatment is so brutal! Being the driven, go-getter that Valerie is, she was determined to still work. Little did she know how horribly this chemo treatment was going to affect her. She is so incredibly sick between treatments, with no reprieve at all. This last week, her white blood cell count was so low, that she wasn't even able to receive her scheduled chemo. Unfortunately, she's not able to work at all now, probably until March 2021. The main reason is because she is so sick of course, but also because she works in the senior assisted living world, and is extremely immune compromised. She literally will have at least half of her income until at least March and desperately needs help paying her everyday bills....rent, utilities, healthcare premiums and deductables, caring for her children, etc. I can't stress how urgent this is. She is a very proud, kind, smart, beautiful, vivacious woman, who unfortunately has this horrible demon that we call cancer, inside of her. It is living and breathing, and she (along with her diligent doctors) are trying desperately to eradicate this horrifying disease. 51 years on this planet.....she deserves WAY more! Please help us to make her life a little bit easier and donate whatever you can. Every little bit counts. Valerie is going to beat this.....she has to!
