In the memory of Valentine Ikechukwu

With heavy hearts, We are absolutely devastated as a family to share the loss of our son, brother, nephew and friend, Valentine Ikechukwu.

Valentine was a 16 year old gentle boy who had deep respect for others, full of love, played basketball, great dancer and enjoyed cooking. He was a Nottingham College student and was well-liked amongst his friends. Words cannot describe what we are going through right now.

He moved to the UK in 2023 with his parents to pursue a career in IT. He dedicated himself to his studies as a Computer Science student. Valentine had love for his family and friends, he always wanted to make a huge difference to his family and carry everyone along.

Tragically, Valentine died after getting into difficulty whilst swimming with friends at Colwick Country Park. A heartbreaking loss at the beginning of his promising future.

"Valentine will remain in our hearts forever. We are raising funds to cover the cost of funeral, burial or possibly repatriation to homeland (Nigeria) and support his family during this unimaginable painful time.
