My name is Adam Daniels, I am currently a sophomore at the University of Southern California. I am pursuing dual degrees in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention and Spanish. I'm working to attend medical school, earn my doctrate in medicine, and work as a doctor in South America.
Taking different Spanish courses at USC and being of Latin descent, I have realized I don’t know enough about my own culture and where I come from. When my greatest desire is to help the people of my community, now and in my future as a doctor, I need to be able to connect with my community on both cultural and linguistic levels in addition to a doctor-patient level.
By attending the Valencia Program in Spain this summer I will continue to stay on track with my expectations of graduating with my dual degrees. This is the next step of my journey toward becoming the doctor I aspire to be, helping to treat and heal as many people as I can.
In order to attend this program I need a total of $9,710 for this program, which include tuition, room and board, and flight costs. I have applied for scholarship funding to cover tuition. Which leaves about $3,300 for room/board and flight costs! I have saved up almost half of this money through my student-worker job on campus.
I am asking for your help in raising the other half through whatever donations you can help support me with. I promise to keep you all updated with pictures of my trip and all the knowledge I hope to learn that will help me be a better doctor one day.
I am now eagerly set to the challenge of completing two degrees during my undergraduate study! I am on my way to successfully graduating on time with my two degrees in hand ready to help treat my future patients.
Thank you very much for all your help and support you give me in this endeavor!!!
