Valencia flood help for Nando

Hi there, my name is Roberto Lora, from Jersey, Channel Islands, I am raising money for a dear friend of mine who has been badly affected by the disastrous floods in Valencia.

Fernando Marti, known affectionally to his friends as "Nando", is a life long friend of mine, and an amazingly kind and gentle man. He has recently been diagnosed with 4 cancers in his body, he has a young boy which he cares for and has to keep working despite his health being very poor. He has to keep working since COVID wiped out his savings and put him into debt.

23 years ago he worked as my head chef at the Savoy Hotel in Jersey, which I managed, and we became lifelong friends.

He now runs a very small restaurant in Spain, Valencia, where he is chef and waiter. His customers love him and he plods on despite his various personal setbacks.

Now this natural disaster has destroyed his restaurant and his last pillar of stability in his life has been washed away. He is in dire need of help.
