Promethean Board for Valdez

Our school needs just 1 more Promethean Board for our elementary school as one of our current Promethean Boards broke and the cost to repair is as much as to replace with a new one that offers better technology. Currently our 3rd grade is lacking a Promethean Board and these boards are very useful for schools, but especially for a dual-language school like Valdez. Valdez has over 50% free and reduced lunch children and is a dual-language school (English and Spanish) in NW Denver.

The majority of our students have no or limited access to technology at home. We provide the window of opportunity for them to not only learn each other's languages and cultures but also to learn the new and terribly important language of technology. Interactive whiteboards allow for students to manipulate what they are learning. These boards also allow for teachers to collaborate on lessons. In the classrooms where the boards are located, the students talk about how much they are learning on them daily to their parents. They allow teachers to have embedded video and other media sources to help students to conceptualize new vocabulary. This is imperative in a language learning environment such as ours.

We need just $2600 for 1 board (that includes shipping and installation).
