Valerie Barnette: Caregiver Needs Your Help!

You can help! Caregiver needs shown some care please. I'm raising money for my sister Val's wrist repair. On Jan 30 she fell and badly broke her wrist. It's an acute colles fracture with dorsal angulation. She had an appointment with an orthopedic and surgery is needed. She doesn't have insurance. The surgeons fee is approx $2000, anesthesia approx $1200, surgery center $4000 She's always been the go to person that gives help.  Our mother has Lewy Body Dementia and needs continuous care, because of her need for care Val doesn't have a regular paying job. In addition to taking care of our mother she's always there to help others. When a friend's husband was ill, Val  was there to help his wife. When an elderly friend had trouble, Val took her to the doctors, stores, and even did her laundry every week. When someone is going to paint, move or anything else Val always offers to help.  Now she needs help.  In addition to that she works hard to find items to sell online.  This provides a little income but not much. Her car is old and having problems, her mother has other medical issues.  I know she gets overwhelmed sometimes and worries how she'll get by. I'd like to put her mind a little at ease by at least getting help for her medical bills. She has always been there for everyone including me both emotionally and financially when I've struggled to take care of my own bills. If I had the money to cover her medical costs I would gladly give it to her. She has always been the person my brother and I could turn to when we have financial problems and deserves to have someone there for her in this case.
