I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help Vajramati travel from Norwich to the US very soon to attend Danakamala’s burial in early August, then spend a short time in New York City, where he lived for many years. For those who wish to celebrate Danakamala's life, there will be a larger Sangha/friends event on August 21: one at Aryaloka and another at Caffe Kilim (a café where Danakamala went to have coffee nearly every day for 20 years! - see photo).

Vajramati and Danakamala were deeply fond of each other. In 2008 Vajramati became Danakamala's private preceptor and gave him the name “Red Lotus of Generosity”. Their friendship continued to deepen, and they stayed in good contact up until his death, so you can imagine it’s very important for Vajramati to be present when Danakamala is laid to rest.
