Vajradakini's Demons

My next translation project will be The Tantra on Vajradakini’s Demons and The Tantra on the Precious Vajra Heart in which We Are All One. These are two middle-length Tantras that present feminine visions of enlightenment. Vajradakini’s Demons was transmitted by Guru Dombiwa to the Yogin Guru Ramtadam, and then to the lion in the Tiger’s Nest to the South (Bhutan), who transmitted it to yogins who then transmitted it to the Ax Teacher. It deals directly with the demonic manifestations that beset the practitioner and how they are perceived in the Great Perfection. The Vajra Heart in which We Are All One was given by The Wrathful Vajra Woman to her daughter Gomadevi, who gave it to Padmasambhava, who then gave it to the King, his Ministers, and the Populace and is a powerful statement on feminine enlightenment in the Great Perfection. In these days when demonic manifestations of many kinds are emerging: wars, disease, economic instability, and all the rest, these words of wisdom from long ago offer us both perspective and guidance as we forge through our own lives in the present. It is not unusual to hear of demons, but it is very rare to see the Great Perfection’s vision of the demonic and the solution of demonic problems. I believe that this time we are living in most definitely calls for the release of this ancient wisdom, wisdom that will shed light on the roads we are now traveling.

This book will be relatively short. I estimate the finished work to be just over 200 pages. My target for this fundraiser is $4,700. This will provide the basic sustenance I need to bring out an excellent translation of these ancient works of wisdom.
