As some of you may know, I have been struggling for the opportunity to undergo transition surgeries. After consultation, discussion with healthcare providers, and five years of waiting for an initial dates, I finally have this opportunity. I am fortunate that my insurance covers certain surgery costs. However, there are still many aspects and secondary expenses that are not covered by insurance. Besides the non-covered procedures, these expenses include the cost of post-operative care, lodging, medication, and loss of income during recovery. As a result, I am reaching out for support.
