Utah music family,
For 15 years now we have been the lucky recipients of a very generous gift given by Corey Fox and all who have made Velour Live Music Gallery a reality. Velour has been a home for so many of us and a place to find inspiration and camaraderie from our fellow musicians and through Corey's support and encouragement.
Many of us have chosen Provo as our home, literally and musically, and much of what makes this city a great place to be is due to people like Corey and places like Velour.
Keep in mind that while many / most of us have and can continue on with work in one way or another, Velour has yet to reopen or host a single show since March of 2020, one full year ago. How Corey has kept the lights on is beyond me, but today, after reading an article about the current situation, I decided that I need to do whatever I can to make sure this heart of our local music scene keeps beating.
Giving this some thought, I've decided to contribute the amount that I would have spent on shows at Velour for the last year. That's my starting point, please consider choosing yours.
