JUNE 3 morning UPDATE: 22 oxygen concentrator machines have been purchased on Kitten Nursery Club's behalf. We have teamed up with Community Partners International, a multimillion nonprofit organization to help us coordinate with NIDS (Nepal Institute of Development Studies) and Damak's Upamayor's Office to distribute life-saving resources to the region.

Given the recent, record-breaking surge of coronavirus cases happening in May 2021, Kitten Nursery Club is launching our Help Nepal campaign, a fundraiser to bring immediate covid-relief through oxygen concentrators and pave access to Covid-19 vaccines to the most affected people in rural Nepal.

Wedged between two superpowers and sharing an open-border with India, Nepal is a small country facing a huge public health emergency. Not only is it suffering from political instability & economic crisis during this dire time, but like many other countries stricken with poverty, there is a lack of public health care infrastructure in place to deal with this recent outbreak, which is disproportionately affecting the poor and rural areas of the region. This group of people who have the least access to PPE, testing, vaccines, treatment and oxygen, social distancing & quarantining privileges, etc. are also the same group of people that are most negatively impacted by this pandemic, and who we are primarily targeting to provide relief for. The goal of this fundraising campaign, Help Nepal, is to promote equity in the global public health sector and bring recognition to the global gap in who has access to the life-saving resources to fight this pandemic. All donations will be used to fund vaccines, oxygen concentrators, treatments, testing, and any immediate and preventative relief we can provide to help save lives. The country is pleading for help!

Even though cases of covid in Nepal are sky-rocketing, the country has only been able to administer vaccines to around 3.7% of it’s population. Help us change these numbers with our campaign!

We are networking with a handful of governmental hospitals and public agencies in Pradesh #1, Nepal. We will help these hospitals and governmental entities purchase or donate to purchase and assist in distributing these oxygen supplies and vaccines following a transparent protocol.
