Help Restore Power for a Local Family in Need
This week, a 14-year-old boy who has helped me with yard work came to my door visibly discouraged. With winter approaching, he was walking around the neighborhood looking for work because his family’s power had been shut off. No child should have to shoulder that kind of responsibility.
Later, I drove past their home and saw the family cooking outside on a grill — not by choice, but because it’s the only way they can prepare food right now as everything in their fridge spoils. The temperatures are dropping quickly, and the situation is becoming increasingly unsafe.
I’m raising funds to help get their electricity restored. I don’t yet know the exact amount owed, but based on typical shut-off amounts, I’m estimating around $500. If the bill ends up being less, any remaining money will go toward groceries and basic needs for the family.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Even a small amount will make a real difference for this hardworking family during an incredibly stressful time.
Thank you for your support.
