Help Brooke Heal
Donation protected
My sister, Brooke, had a spinal fusion in November 2017. Since then, she's had ongoing complications including loss of function of her legs (after being on her feet for 3-4 hours), unexplained numbness in her limbs, along with chronic back pain. Brooke has continued to work in the restaurant industry during this time, pushing and working through her pain.
After 8 various tests from three different doctors and being dismissed by all of them, Brooke's back completely failed on April 9th. She could not get up off the ground and ended up in the ER. Thankfully, a compassionate and caring doctor looked at her previous MRI and gave her the diagnosis of Degenerative Disc Disease (all vertebra have multiple issues- including a herniated disc, a bulging disc, and torn disc) and recommended physical therapy and a steroid epidural injection.
We are grateful to have some answers and now Brooke needs rest to heal. Brooke is not able to work during this healing process (something she is not accepting easily) and has medical bills and living expenses mounting up.
If you know Brooke, you know her willingness and compassion for helping others. You also know that she is one of the hardest working and most dedicated people around. Asking for help is not something Brooke does easily, but it's time to ask for help.
Brooke's steroid epidural injection is May 13th and our hope is to raise the funds to cover it's cost (she was given an estimate between $4000-$6000). Doing that would be a dream come true and would allow Brooke to rest and truly heal.
We are so grateful for any and all donations.
Thanks,
Breann (Brooke's big sister)
p.s. If you'd rather support one of Brooke's ongoing direct sales endeavors, please reach out to her and ask how you can help.
