If you don't already know Alyssa Cole, you are truly missing out. I have known her my whole life (quite literally, I don't even remember not knowing her) and I am blessed to have her as a friend. She has stood by my side throughout every chapter of my life and has been not only a friend, but a great influence on how to care for people and to be selfless.

I'm guessing that if you have had the pleasure to meet Alyssa, you already know these things, but I would like to reiterate what she means to me and to our mutual friends. Alyssa loves the Lord for everything she is worth. She is humble in serving Him and has a calling to go where ever He leads her. Alyssa is also the spunkiest and/or silliest person you may ever meet. No one is a stranger to her and she shows kindness where you and I may be standoff-ish. Still, patience is a virtue when you are dealing with Alyssa, but in a good way. She puts her whole heart into everything she does, so naturally, she takes her time to do things because of this, which makes the wait well worth it. 

To jump into the point of this GoFundMe Account, this February, Alyssa has been given the opportunity to travel to Guatemala with Youth With A Mission (YWAM)  to continue with her growth as a follower of Christ and to learn how to better make him known in the areas she will be traveling. Here is an insert from YWAM's website about their ministry:
[The goal of the DTS is to 'know God and make Him known.' It is a 20 week program of which the first 12 weeks are devoted to classes on topics that are critical to the formation of a disciple of Christ and the final 8 weeks are focused on the field experience ministering to people in other countries."

To travel to other countries where the Word of God is not known so she can have the chance to do so has always been a huge goal to Alyssa. In her latest blog titled, "Where You Lead" she states: 
[For too long I had been searching for where to go, what to do, and who to be. With each new season, I would find myself in pursuit of that specific path – that perfect place where I would finally know I was where I was supposed to be. Forever. I now know that this “perfect place” doesn’t exist.]

Guatemala isn't the first, nor will it be the last place Alyssa has aspirations of spreading the Word of God to.  Help her to raise the money she n eeds to take the trip with YWAM to learn and grow in Christ and to put forth the Message of God as she was called to do.
