A Fundraiser Honoring the Legacy of Tom Tipton

Tom Tipton truly had an exceptional life devoted to helping others. A true friend and one of the kindest, most generous people we knew, Tom was a legend in the Cambridge Arts and Music scene. Tom founded and ran Out of the Blue Art Gallery which gave thousands of emerging artists and musicians a chance to thrive and showcase their work. Now it is our turn to help Tom and his partner Samantha. Tom passed away from pneumonia, a few weeks after a successful triple bypass surgery. We organized this fundraiser to pay for his services and to help his partner Samantha. We hope everyone who knew and loved Tom will contribute to help honor this exceptional man who generously dedicated his life to others. A memorial to celebrate his life will be planned. Tom’s impact on the independent arts and music scene in Cambridge/Boston is immeasurable. Tom didn’t just curate art—he curated an entire community. He gave voice to those who had none, and did it all with generosity and immense heart. He created a magical space for artists, poets and musicians to shine Tom's uniquely energetic spirit will be deeply missed. Tom and his beloved dog XO were a treasured part of the community. We all want to help this amazing man who generously dedicated his life to helping others. We will truly miss our friend. A memorial to celebrate Tom's life will be planned.
