This beautiful, amazing woman so full of life is  our friend Dana.  I have personally have known her since secret clubs and  treehouses in the 4th grade. She is so many more amazing things besides everyone’s dear friend: she is a people person who loves all walks of life and culture, a lover of the the outdoors, traveling, sports, good food and of course good wine or beer!  She is an Army Vet.   She is so full of love, light and adventure and you will always make the best memories with this girl! 

So as you can imagine, it saddened all of us that love her to learn that at just 44 years old our beautiful friend is fighting an aggressive form of breast cancer. During her treatment she has had to stop working, but unfortunately her monthly bills will not stop. Dana is a single woman living in San Diego and needs support during this difficult time. Her friends are putting this Go Fund Me Page together to support her pay her bills during her invasive treatment of chemotherapy. 

Here is a note from Dana: 

I recently found out that I have an aggressive form of breast cancer with the Her 2 gene, that is currently at stage 3 (meaning it’s metastatic). They  have found a small mass in my liver that is too small to biopsy. The doctors have started me on chemotherapy December 10th and I go in every 3 weeks for another infusion. I’ll have a minimum of 6 treatments which leave me with a long list of side effects that are emotionally and physically draining at times. With the medication I’m receiving I have to be extra cautious to avoid crowds where I can be around sick people as my cell counts are super low. Unfortunately my job in the restaurant industry has been something I had to give up durning this time of healing, which leaves me with figuring out how to cover my monthly bills and rearrange my lifestyle. There are charities that I can apply for help once I know what kind of disability I can receive, but as we all know it can take months for that to happen. I am humbling myself to reach out for any help I can get to support myself through the next 6 months til I know what happens after the treatments. I appreciate any help I can get.
