Four-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee Christel Bartelse is bringing her signature high-energy wit to the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe- for the very first time. But she needs some help.
ONEymoon tells the tale of Caroline Bierman; the Canadian woman who re-invents society’s longstanding convention by doing the unthinkable: she marries herself. However, she soon struggles to accept the realities of her new life once the honeymoon phase is over. A tour-de-force comedy with a sprinkle of dance, improv, and audience participation, not to mention a sneaky tug at the heart.
Airfare, renting a flat, posters, postcards, publicity, however, are all costly, so simply by donating any amount, you will contribute to getting Christel/ Caroline on her UK ONEymoon.
Although Christel has toured the Canadian Fringe circuit for years, this is her first trip to Edinburgh.
"This has been a long time of dream of mine, to finally get to take one of my shows to this Fest."
Coming off her real-life wedding a few months back (to a British fellow, no less!), the timing seemed ideal to fulfill her dream of performing at the iconic festival. Bartelse is excited about her stay in Scotland, experiencing the Fringe, and looking ahead to a potential extended stay in the near future.
She is thrilled to be a part of the Canadian Team heading this way. (Alongside Alex Dallas, Morro & Jasp, Vanessa Smythe & Rebecca Perry)
