Our beloved coach and friend David Shaffer suddenly passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the age of 59.

 

He was a loving husband to Aki Hibino, a proud father to Dustin, Donnie, and Samantha, a wonderful son to Mary Munion, a caring and supportive brother to Don, Dwayne, Delina, Bill, Crystal, Nick, and Traci, a loyal friend to so many, and most likely the funniest person you know.

 

To know David Shaffer was to love him. His humor and enjoyment of life were infectious. There was never a moment Dave put himself before others, he was on a never-ending quest to make the lives of those around him better. We were all better for having known Dave and we are richer from having him in our lives.
