Unfortunately, this morning Luna was attacked by a coyote in our backyard. This coyote has been preying on our poor chihuahua and we have put numerous protections in place. This morning we let her out and followed behind her however the coyote was waiting right outside the door. He quickly snatched luna in his mouth and shook her. As we all began screaming at the coyote he dropped her and ran away. After immediately rushing to the ER, we have learned that Luna has sustained numerous injuries due to this attack.

Because the coyote shook her violently, she has an abdominal hernia and needs surgery that my family and I are not able to afford.

She also suffered from gashes into her skin where the coyote bit into her.

The costs for the emergency visit, pain medication, x-rays and surgery are overwhelming and unaffordable in our case. We are kindly asking for donations to help Luna avoid being euthanized due to high costs. If you can donate anything even the smallest amount it would be greatly appreciated. Luna is only 8 years old and has a full healthy life ahead of her. Please help my family seek out her future. If you’re unable to donate I ask that you please share our story.
