I’m reaching out on behalf of someone I’ve known and trusted for over 30 years — a kind, dependable friend who’s going through a rough patch and could really use a hand right now.

He lost his job during COVID and has been trying to bounce back ever since. He’s dealt with ongoing medical challenges over the years — nothing that keeps him from working, but enough to create financial strain over time. Those medical expenses, combined with the loss of steady work, eventually led to him losing his apartment.

Most recently, his car broke down due to a known manufacturer issue. Despite it being a common problem, the company is denying the claim, and the repairs now cost more than the car is worth. Without transportation, it’s incredibly difficult for him to get to the work he still has, let alone take on more.

What he needs now is some help covering the cost of reliable transportation and a bit of housing support to get back on his feet. Every dollar helps — and if you know of any part-time or gig work (gardening is his passion) he’s more than ready and willing. I’d be happy to share his resume with anyone interested.
