Chey's Scoliosis Journey

Cheyenne was diagnosed with scoliosis when she was 3 years old. After many years of MD appointments in Denver and long deliberation of how to treat her scoliosis we decided to start Chey on a long term treatment plan. When she was first diagnosed she had a 24 degree curve in her spine. Before starting therapy her curve was getting worse by 4 degrees a year. She started going to The Spine Correction Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins when she was 7 years old. This is where she undergoes therapy twice a week. Her scoliosis treatment method is non-invasive, non-surgical, and non-bracing and has high effective rates at reducing pain levels and scoliosis curvatures. Her therapy includes many treatments to correct the curvature of her spine including chiropractic adjustments. She also takes time at home morning and night when she puts on weights and does stretches. Since starting therapy treatment her curve had stabilized around 30 degrees.
Now that Chey is entering young adulthood her scoliosis is progressively getting worse. Her curve is now around 65 degrees.
We have decided to add on a more intense treatment. "Treating Scoliosis" located in Wisconsin is a two week long treatment program where she would do therapy twice a day for ten days (what she does twice a week in Fort Collins). The point of this trip is to help reduce the curve in her spine, get educated on the nutritional aspect of scoliosis and get an activity body suit to help with treatment.
The reason for this page is to raise money to help with the cost of the program, traveling and lodging during the week long stay and the cost of the activity suit.
