Patsy Lomison Schmalhofer suffered a stroke on 9/29/14 and a second massive stroke on10/1/14. After the second stroke Patsy was transferred to the Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia for treatment in their Acute Stroke Center. While Patsy’s condition was very much uncertain she did make tremendous progress and was later transferred to the Williamsport Rehabilitation Hospital and then eventually able to go home on 12/19/14 just in time for Christmas.
Since that time Patsy has been going to the rehab hospital three days per week for physical therapy and speech therapy and continues to make steady gradual improvement. Patsy has indeed come a long way and we are very thankful to God for his hand of protection on Patsy throughout these difficult times.
The Schmalhofer family, Patsy, John, and their three boys Jakob, Zackary, and Oskar, want to thank all of their family and friends who have been so very supportive and encouraging over the past months. Please continue to pray for God’s strength, comfort, and wisdom for the family. Many individuals have wanted to help this dear family and so we have made this GoFundMe page so that individuals who want to may donate to the family to help them meet their medical expenses and other unexpected expenses.
Thank you very much for your continued prayers, support and encouragement. Everyone has been such a wonderful blessing to the Schmalhofer family and it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
The Schmalhofer and Lomison Family
