Hi my name is Teddy and im only 4 months old. My moms got me from a breeder in Indiana that they thought they knew well. I was only with my moms for 3 hours or so the first night they got me, I had to go to the emergency hospital that same night. I was severely impacted with stool and foreign objects. I was sent home with lactulose but I started declining pretty quick. My moms took me back to the hospital and I was septic with severe colitis. They were told it wasn’t a good chance I would make it and should consider euthanasia.. but my moms thought I deserved a chance, they told me to be strong but if I was too tired it was okay and I could go.. I beat it. I stayed at the hospital for 3 days and they discovered I only have 1 kidney, 2 ureters, a small vena cava and a bilobed bladder, my private part is also not how it should be. I finally got to come home, I was okay for about a month and then I started to go downhill again. They told my moms we should see internal medicine because my case is so different. I went back to the hospital and I had an infection but the vets couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. They sent me home with antibiotics and steroids but I didn’t feel any better the next morning so I had to go stay again at the hospital. I came home and was still declining. My family vet thought I would be able to see the specialist through the ER in Louisville but they weren’t there when I went and my moms couldn’t afford the outrageous amount they wanted for me to stay overnight. We came home and my temperature spiked to 104, we went to my family vet and they took such good care of me. My temperature spiked to 105 and They discovered that I have two urethral openings and I had purulent drainage coming from it. I stayed three nights there, and I’m finally back at home with my moms! I have a appointment with a surgeon on April 8th so I’m on steroids until then and received a antibiotic injection but it will wear off in 10 days... The costs for my emergency care, hospital stays, and upcoming surgery are more than we ever expected. The fundraiser amount reflects the total needed to cover all of my medical expenses so far and give me the best chance at recovery. My moms are doing everything they can but they can’t do this alone.
