My daughter has been through an incredibly challenging journey over the past year. She’s been in and out of the hospital, and for a long time, the doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Thankfully, we now have answers, but the road to get here has been long and exhausting for her. She’s currently been in the hospital for over two months, enduring 13 procedures, including two drainage tubes for her pancreas and the removal of her appendix. To make matters worse, we also learned she has Type 2 Diabetes. It’s been overwhelming for her, but we are so relieved that recovery is finally within reach. Her recovery time the doctors are saying will be a minimum of a year.
Throughout this ordeal, the people who care about her have stepped in to help cover her bills since she’s been unable to work. Unfortunately, she can’t collect disability until she has a primary doctor, and just before her appointments, she’s been admitted to the hospital, complicating things even further.
We’re reaching out now because we need assistance with covering the remaining bills. We’ve exhausted all our resources so far, and while I am actively looking for a second job, it won’t be enough. Her independence means everything to her, and it’s been crucial for us to help her maintain that, especially in a place she can afford. We’ve managed up until now, but we’re falling short, and this is becoming critical to her mental health and overall well-being.
If you’re able to offer any support—whether it’s financial assistance, advice on legitimate second job opportunities (for someone like me, who is slightly older and already working full-time), or even just prayers—we would be deeply grateful. Your help, in any form, would mean the world to us right now.
