As I've stated elsewhere, asking for help is one of those things I've never been any good at. And yet: I need help. Put simply, through a combination of bad timing, bad luck and mistakes made by both me and my doctor's office and (I suspect) insurance company, I am in a hole with medical bills, some of which are urgent, including coinsurance payments on my bipap machine, as well as some impending medical and dental work I have been putting off for a few months. I am trying to hold off on some of these procedures until next year, when my insurance resets and my flexible spending account is replenished, but some of it involves a fair amount of pain that in one case has been going on since May, and frankly if there is any way I can manage to take care of my problem before January, I would like to find it. That said, I understand that this is no one's problem but mine, but I hope you will understand that I have been wracking my brain for weeks and have ultimately failed to find any possible solution that does not include coming hat in hand like this. I am not proud of it—I'm very ashamed, in fact—but the fact is that I do need help. I have crunched numbers and pared things away and at the very leanest, I need to raise about $2,000.00. I'm working on selling some stuff on eBay and trying to come up with other avenues, but at this point that's my target, and I would be eternally grateful for anything anyone can offer. Every little bit helps. Obviously, again, at the end of the day this is nobody's problem but mine...but thank you all for listening, and for helping to whatever degree you can. I am so sorry to ask.
