UPDATE:
The surgeon predicts I will be out of work minimum of 4 months due to my jobs physical demand.
I will return to neurology in February for both an EEG and a guided lumbar puncture procedure to check the fluid pressure in my brain.
Please read and share ❤️
Hey y’all… it’s been quite a rough storm here lately… I began a new job on January 3rd and on January 6th I fell down about 5-6 stairs in my home breaking my leg in two places, shattering my heel and dislocated my ankle.
On January 12th, I went in for surgery which was successful.. was discharged that afternoon and went home to begin the recovery process.
On January 13th, around 2:30 am I had a seizure in my sleep. EMS transported me to the hospital where they performed a CT and labs… everything seemed to check out ok and they discharged me that morning… to say the least it has been extremely difficult…
My primary doctor has sent in a referral for me to be seen by neurologist to discuss my seizure and idiopathic intracranial hypertension (pseudotumor
cerebri) which she found after reviewing my CT scan (essentially this is fluid on the brain).
I am a very private person and this took a lot for me to share with you all… but being I am out of work for the next 4-6 months depending on how I heal and what neurology says… I am looking for a little extra help to get through this…Anything would be greatly appreciated…This is one of the hardest times of my life emotionally, mentally and physically.
I am so grateful for all my friends and family who have been helping us through this.. taking Isabelle to school, taking me to doctors appointments, taking care of my home for me.. and my pets for me.. Our village is amazing ❤️
