A Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
April 18th an accident took place that has changed my friends life in the blink of an eye.  Elsie was on her way to school and as a car was driving in the opposite direction the driver was speeding and lost control of his car and drove onto her lane,  hitting Elsie head on, thus demolishing her car and changing her life.  She realized when she saw the car coming all she could do was put her foot on the break. The impact caused the steering wheel to purge her knee. With the force of the collision it bent her foot back so far that it broke her heel.

She was hospitalized for a week in horrible condition, unable to return to work or school. Her youngest daughters birthday past while she was in the hospital and unable to do anything for her daughter she had to ask us for help to do something special for her. We did so without hesitation but this did not only impact her life but her daughters as well. She is a single mother who does everything for her children. But this unfortunate event has effected her capabilities of providing.

She hasn't reached the 90 day probationary period for her job prior to this accident and was unable to attain medical insurance through her job. With the one surgery she has had so far with her foot,  she is confronted with a hospital bill she can't afford. She is doing her best to complete her courses online but has limited help and resources to do so.

Elsie's mother is doing the best she can to help her with the children but is also fighting to battle health issues of her own which leave her fatigued and pained. Before the incident Elsie's mother received news that Elsie's father is sick and is unable to work.

My heart breaks for this family and my sister and I are doing all we can to help her while taking care of our own children. She is use to being independent and doing things on her own but due to this unfortunate event she is unable to work, unable to food shop, bathe herself, tend to her children, pay for the bills, or even support her weight long enough to prepare a meal. We will not abandon her and we are grateful that she is still alive.

Though we are doing everything within our power to help her the need is beyond us. She doesn't like to ask for help but she needs all the help she can get. Her bills are piling up between medical expenses and rent that we don't know what else to do but hope that someone out there can help. Her family is suffering and struggling to keep themselves up.

Any donation with make a huge difference. Please aid us in this journey to her recovery. We wouldn't wish this on anyone and wish you all be careful and stay safe. May god bless you all.
