Aid for Bhagam, Nepal
Donation protected
While travelling to Nepal in 2013, I made many friends who were studying in Nepal's capital city of Kathmandu. One of which was Sintara Z Dolma, a student becoming a paramedic at the Nepal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, and one of the most compassionate, loving people i've ever met.
On April 25th, 2015, Nepal experienced a 7.8 magnitude earthquake with lasting tremors that destroyed many remote villages located in the Himalayan mountain regions of the country. One village that was devasted was Bhagam, where Sintara Z Dolma grew up and currently has family living there. Thousands have been killed in the district that her village is located in.
She has travelled to her village and assessed the situtation and has comfirmed to me that she and her village are in desperate need of financial aid to purchase blankets, mats, toiletries, utensils, and material to rebuild homes.
All funds collected will be transferred through Western Union to Sintara's account so she can purchase the proper materials needed in the city, and with the help of other volunteers hike with the aid into her village, as it is impossible to reach her village by car.
Sintara is a close friend of mine, I have kept in touch with her on a monthly basis since I left Nepal in March of 2013. All funds sent to her will be used properly and will not be exploited. She has been nonstop working since the earthquake going back and forth from city to village bringing and providing medical care to the sick and elderly.
Bhagam is in desperate need of assistance, like many other Nepali villages. If you or your family haven't donated yet somehow to Nepal, PLEASE consider helping this cause as it touches close to home for me aswell, as my friends in Nepal are the ones suffering. I will be donating $200 to begin fundraising, hopefully we can make it over the goal of $500.
Thankyou!
