The unexpected comes to your life and you freeze. You don’t know what to do but to cry, cry, and cry. You let the tears fall hard and often. We lost our sweet mother, aunt, grandmother, sister, friend, and soulmate on May 10, 2024 (El Dia de la Madre in Mexico). My mother was diagnosed with ALS in late 2022. She has been battling the disease with her husband constantly at her side since the diagnosis. He became her fighter, her voice, and caretaker day and night for the whole time. He watched the disease carelessly cripple her nerves, muscles, body, soul, mind, and eventually her heart. Now she is at rest and reunited with loved ones. We are seeking any small support to help offset funeral expenses. Our prayers go out to Lorenzo for his tireless effort watching over this beautiful soul who was my light, my protector, and my strength. She’s my beautiful mother who now resides in another realm. Rest in peace Mi Preciosa. One of greatest souls to walk in this life.
