Help Support a Devoted Mom of Four Fighting Breast Cancer
Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for my 37-year-old sister, a loving mother of four beautiful children, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 HER2-positive breast cancer. This news has turned her world—and our entire family’s—upside down.
What makes this especially heartbreaking is the kind of person Vanessa is. Even with very little herself, she has always given everything she could to others. She has quietly helped people most would overlook—like the homeless individuals who used to live in the woods off Cedarbridge Road, where she would bring them food, clothing, and anything else she could manage. She never hesitates to help, even when she doesn’t know the person and even when she can barely afford it herself. That’s just who she is: someone whose first instinct is kindness.
She is a devoted mom who has always put her children first. Whether it’s juggling school schedules, working hard to support her family, or being the one everyone turns to in times of need, she has always faced life with strength, compassion, and determination. Now she needs us to stand with her.
Her treatment plan includes chemotherapy, surgery, and ongoing targeted therapy. These treatments are critical—and they’re also incredibly exhausting, time-consuming, expensive, and disabling. Between medical bills, transportation, childcare, medication, and time away from work, the financial strain has become overwhelming.She is already so exhausted!
Vanessa has four children: Taliah 17, Cash 12, Diamond 6, and Cruz 3. Her daughter, Diamond is Autistic. She has no help with her children (no childcare, etc.), so I have been trying to help out as much as I can, and be by her side every step of the way.
We are asking for help to ease this burden so she can focus on what matters most: fighting this cancer and being there for her children.
With the holidays around the corner, and Vanessa starting chemotherapy 10 days before Christmas (Tuesday December 16th ) , I just want to ensure the last thing my sister has to worry about is Christmas gifts for her children , meals as well as childcare. Vanessa's TOP priority right now is to get healthy and create lasting memories with her family.
