LOVING MEMORY OF SUE
Donation protected
**UPDATE**
Unfortunately mum lost her battle, early hours of yesterday morning.
We are very thank full for all the donations. all funds will go towards the funeral or helping Ian pay the mortgage on their forever home.
Please share and help us raise just that little bit to help Ian and Nathan get on their feet and give mum the send off that she deserves.
Mum has always devoted her life to helping others where she could and even if she couldn't she would find ways to get that help. Please please help us give her that send off.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all the support and love at this time
We are reaching out in the hope to gain some support for our mum.
After living a smoke free life getting regular check ups, eating well and staying fit mum did not expect to find herself in this situation.
Mum had been working hard to save every penny to finally reach her life goal of owning her dream home with her husband Ian and their young children Nathan, Ellie and Zane. While taking every shift she could she started to feel run down and have abdominal pain. Putting it down to juggling her kids, her work, the work she does in the community or with her church she assumed she was run down.
The discomfort was getting much worse which prompted a visit to the GP after a few trips with the issue being misdiagnosed mum found her self in the ER in extreme pain. After a 6 hour wait she finally heard “mass on pancreas”. The days that followed were hard to describe, mum and Ian got the keys to their new home something they had been working their whole lives for and in the next moment received the news that she had pancreatic cancer.
A whirl wind of emotions over came the pair and the blows kept coming, mum was told her cancer had spread to her spine and lymph nodes, she was told that they can’t operate to remove the cancer, she was told she had stage four cancer and would need to remain in the hospital for some time.
Mum was in the hospital for several weeks while Ian had to take time away from work to move with their children. The process was slow as Ian wanted to be sat by his wife side at every possible moment.
Mum went in to have an operation to fix a blockage and her pain and discomfort continued to increase.
Mum had finally come home to see the home she waited so long for. She has just began radiation on her spine and had begun chemo.
I am here to ask for help! Mum will not ask for help, I could see the pain in her eyes just telling me she was sick. Hardly able to move BUT still asking me if she can help me! I am adult I have my own children and my mum will still push through her battles to support me. She is still only focused on making sure everyone around her is okay.
Mum has dedicated her entire life to supporting others, she has given everything she has to our families, supported sporting clubs and charities, she is active in her church and will do anything for anyone. One thing she won’t do is ask for help. She needs it!!
With a mortgage, kids and the rising cost of living, the loss of not only her income but soon to be her husband’s they won’t stay afloat. We understand times are tough but if it is within your means to help it would be deeply appreciated!
My mum will not willingly leave her family she will fight, we will fight with her and we really want to raise enough for Ian not to have to leave his wife and return to his work away when she needs him the most.
We will keep this page updated as mums situation changes if you would like to follow along.
UPDATE: Mum has become very terminal very quickly. Days maybe even hours. Every cent has been ever so helpful towards mum, ian and our siblings. We can not thank everyone enough for their on going support.
Much love ❤️
