Help Us Get To Summer Camp!

Hi! My name is Kynnedy Moore. Last year I decided to take a few of my little cousins to a summer camp called Kids Across America where I was once a Kamper (2013), a Counselor (2019), and eventually Office Staff (2021). Kids Across America is a Christian sports camp that transforms and empowers Urban Youth and their mentors to impact their communities for Christ through camping and education. This camp lit a fire in my heart for God and has transformed me into who I am today. It has helped me experience God and others who have a passion for Him in a totally different way and now I want to share that same experience with others. 

KAA had (and still has) such an impact on me that in 2022 I decided to take a leap of faith and try something new. I signed up to become a Kaleo (a term meaning "called ones") so that I could drive four cousins and myself over 4 hours away to stay in Missouri for a week. With the power of prayer (and procrastination), I booked a van, gathered the kids, and headed to KAA! The kids didn't know what to expect and a few were shy the first few days, but by day 6, they made new friends that they still talk to, to this day. They tried new things like zipping down a zipline and tubing on boats. They learned encouraging chants and cheers (that I had to hear the whole way home) and best of all, they all got SAVED! They stood out so much that they even collected various spirit awards and accolades for the good behavior and care they had for others throughout the week. They loved camp so much that they have been counting down the days to go again, so here we are! This time, out of faith, I have decided to take not four, not five, but SIX campers!

With the help of my roommate, we will be the Kaleos for seven campers (ages 13-16) so they can experience this life-changing summer camp! All six campers and both Kaleos are already signed up with the expense of a $200 fee. The only thing left is transportation, which we need a hand with. We are counting on your support to help us pay for a spacious van that accommodates eight passengers and our luggage. After checking numerous websites for reasonably priced cars that seat 8+, the few that we could find range from $1,400-$1,700 for our camp dates (June 25 - July 1). Your generosity will make transportation possible and bring us one step closer to giving these kids an unforgettable experience!

Per the camper's wishes, they have decided to give back to those who make this trip possible. For donations over $25, you will receive a thank you note and picture from the campers. For donations over $50, we will send you a personal thank-you gift including either a baseball cap or tee with a design picked by the kids, along with a thank-you note and photo! Any additional donations beyond the rental price will fund gas, camper packing needs, and tuition for campers/Kaleos attending next year! Here are some photos from last year!
