Hi there! My name is Nick and if you’re here you must already know that I’m raising funds for my upcoming top surgery on January 11, 2024.

Like many of my trans siblings, this care has been a long time coming for me. From fighting imposter syndrome to jumping through trans medicalist hoops, top surgery felt like it would never happen. (And I almost had myself convinced that was the case.) Thanks to the support of my friends and community, I have made it this far. All that’s left now is to raise some money.

Luckily, this procedure has been approved by my insurance provider. However, I will not know the exact amount I am responsible for until the bill is in my hand. And because my surgery will be at the beginning of the new year, I am preparing to pay a significant portion of my $7,000 out of pocket maximum. My partner and I are fortunate enough to have employment that allows adequate time off to support my recovery, so any donations will be used solely to cover the surgery and associated costs.

In addition to crowdfunding, I am applying for a gender affirming surgery grant in my region and setting aside some of my savings. In the event that my actual cost is significantly less than I anticipated, or if I exceed my goal, funds will be redistributed to others crowdfunding for care.
