Hurricane Ida -Repair
Donation protected
As many of you know, I've been teaching clay classes and working as a ceramic artist in my beautiful New Orleans studio, situated in its lush, magical garden, for the past 27 years. Most of my students are children who , once grown, return regularly to dip into the culture they have helped create. We have an environment inquiry, open eyes.We discuss and make beauty and we honor the absurd and the heartbreak right along with the hilarity and joy. Hurricane Ida came along and left us quite the heartbreak. The studio roof and ceiling was damaged and needs replacement. the garden was decimated, my home roof and a/c were damaged and the garden was decimated. The birds who frequent the garden are hopping around - bewildered by the loss of their trees.
True to form , life dished out a few more surprises. My son's health insurance is declining some needed procedures and my beautiful rescue puppy girls is showing up with a breakthrough case of heart worms. Oh- and covid! The usual precautions of heart worm prevention, health insurance and homeowners are just not enough to cover our financial needs. We need your financial assistance. The money we receive would be used to meet the homeowner
$5,000 deductible. we'd then be able to proceed with repairing studio and home roof, tearing out and relacing studio ceiling along with pay for tree removal and a/c repairs. If you can donate to our repair efforts , we would wholeheartedly appreciate it.- Evelyn, Donovan, Pax and Nala
