Hi there!

I am raising money to complete an internship in Nicaragua.  I was accepted to be one of 11 students to go to Nicaragua with an organization called Viviendas Leon. The organization has offered to pay for a portion of my trip, my parents will pay a portion and I will fundraise the rest.

I will be going for one week in the beginning of July. I’ll  be working within the photography and social media internship. I will work with the children capturing their work  taking interesting photos and blogging about their experiences. I will document my trip on my weekends  since this will be the time I’ll be free to explore Nicaragua with my 11 colleagues.  

I’ll spend the mornings in a Spanish immersion class, then I will spend the afternoons taking photos of the children and telling their stories by way of Instagram, Facebook, VividendasLeon’s web site.

My mom says it’s an awesome way for me to give back, but truly, I just want to get to know those different than I and we can both learn from one another.  I also can’t wait to help bring the stories to each of you.  You can help me get there by sending a small donation, but then I need for you to tell you friends on Facebook and Instagram, as I need everyone’s support.
