As many know- rescue isn’t all puppies and perfect rescue scenarios. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is dimly lit and future feels grim. Rescue is hard. It’s so hard on the volunteers who live our tragedies and heartbreak EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. So many helped us with Tara and just as we were seeing the light we were unexpectedly hit with a virus that no rescue wants to fight. Ridley, Bella, Max, Junior, and Valentino all came to us happy 6 month old puppies. Over the last 24 hours our world has been turned over. Ridley has tested positive for parvo virus and is quickly sucking the life out of her. Her siblings Bella, Max, and Junior soon started exhibiting similar symptoms and were tested and turned out positive as well. We are awaiting the test results of Valentino. As you can imagine his is a HUGE financial issue for the rescue as a whole. After donations and our own volunteers giving what little money they had left for Tara we are smacked back to the ground by the stark reality of rescue. We are asking for any and all donations to the care of these babies. All they wanted to do was finally be safe and find their happy ending, which feels like it’s so quickly being ripped from them. We are trying so hard to keep it together.
Please pray for our babies, especially Ridley. This sweet girl is fading fast.
