Hi all,

Today, 10-year-old River got her second chance at life. She was just hours away from being euthanized at the shelter after being surrendered by the only family she had ever known. Despite her age and confusion, River is gentle, sweet, and full of love — and now she finally has a chance to find a new home where she’ll be cherished.

River is currently recovering from kennel cough and needs continued treatment, as well as a full veterinary checkup to ensure she’s healthy enough to make the journey to her forever home in Tennessee. I will be fostering River for the next few weeks, giving her the care and comfort she needs to heal emotionally and physically.
