Help Me Return to Work and School

Hi, my name is Philip Yung. On the night of September 10th, 2023, I was driving slow and steadily along Route 22 after exiting from the Garden State Parkway in NJ to get back to the NJIT (New Jersey Institute of Technology) campus in Newark where I go to school and it was raining hard.

Unfortunately, my car hydroplaned and hit the roadway's guardrail on the right side. It flipped over on the driver's side and I sustained a few large gashes on my left arm and large blistering on my left wrist since I was wearing a watch. I am very thankful that I was able to knock the windshield down and crawl out of the car, since the engine had started to smoke.

Unfortunately, I now do not have a way to get to work/school as my car was my only method of transportation. I don't come from much and pay my own tuition/rent here at NJIT and am very much in need of a vehicle to transport me to work to do so. I was relying on insurance to cover these costs but as of 9/11/2023, I was told that insurance would not be able to cover the entirety of the expenses from the accident.

The money from this fundraiser will be used to purchase a used vehicle to help me get back on my feet again as well as pay off some of the rent expenses I have while I can’t work.
